Internal Audits

Our ESG & Sustainability Committee voluntarily completes an annual audit of our operations that have the potential to affect change in the environments and the communities in which we operate. Also included in the audit is a review of the policies that guide our day-to-day business and corporate oversight. This audit is released for public review and feedback in the form of our annual Sustainability Report. The content of the audit and report reflects globally recognized sustainability reporting standards and a materiality assessment conducted by the Company to identify the topics that are of high interest to our various stakeholders.

Independent Audits

Maintaining the trust and confidence of the communities in which we operate, as well as our broader stakeholders, requires a high level of transparency and accountability. To achieve this, we have voluntarily partnered with Digbee ESG, a disclosure and verification platform created to identify and report the sustainability challenges and opportunities specific to mining companies.

The Digbee ESG framework aligns with all major global standards, including SASB, GRI, ICMM, and TCFD. The reporting process begins by completing a detailed questionnaire that separates corporate oversight information from project-specific information, allowing each project to be assessed on its own merits. That information is provided to Digbee and then further verified by Satarla, an independent risk management and research company.

We are proud to have received overall ‘A’ ratings for the two years we have worked with Digbee ESG.

We believe that this voluntary independent measurement and verification enhances the credibility of our sustainability programs and provides an additional level of confidence for those who trust us to act in good faith. Additionally, this process helps to identify and address the potential blind spots of our ESG & Sustainability Committee in the ever-evolving landscape of responsible mining practices and reporting.

Industry Associations

Active participation in state and national mining associations and conferences is crucial for us to stay current with the gold standard of industry practices. These associations and conferences provide valuable opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and learning about the latest technological advancements and sustainability strategies. By engaging with outside industry leaders, experts, and peers, we can continuously improve our technical capabilities and enhance our commitment to sustainable practices. This involvement ensures that we remain at the forefront of responsible mining and take the opportunity to enhance our best practices to meet ever evolving industry standards and stakeholder expectations.
